GoHiddenChina started the way most good ideas do: with too much time spent scrolling.

Some of us live in China and see the clever, beautiful, occasionally surprising products made by small workshops and independent designers — the originals that show up on Chinese social media months, sometimes years, before copies flood the West. Friends kept asking “where did you get that?” So we built the answer.

Our rule is simple: we use every product for two weeks before it earns a spot on the store. If we wouldn’t buy it again at full price, we don’t list it — no matter how viral it is. That’s why our catalog stays curated rather than endless.

Everything ships from our hub with tracking, everything is covered by 30-day buyer protection, and real humans answer every support email within 24 hours.

How we pick

1. Discover — we browse Chinese maker communities, craft markets and independent designers daily, tracking what’s genuinely original rather than what’s being pushed by ads.

2. Test — we order samples at our own cost and use them daily for two weeks.

3. List honestly — if an item has a quirk (hand-wash only, runs small, made-to-order), we say so plainly in the listing.
